The rubber coated anchor (rubber coated iron) is available in the weight range of 5 kg – 9 kg
The big advantage of this type of anchor is the rubber coating, and thanks to this, the coating of the boats is not damaged, because all edges and sides of the rubber coated anchor are covered with a thick and hard layer of rubber. These rubber and metal combination anchors (metal anchors with rubber coating) are used for watercraft such as inflatable boats, dinghies, small sailboats, rowing boats, fishing boats as well as SUP. All these vessels are particularly susceptible to such damage and other metal anchors are very dangerous in this case.
All rubber covered anchors are very compact (small dimensions) and their size makes them easy to carry around.
Two anchors are used (front and back of the boat) for better stabilization, so two anchors are recommended. The diagram in the photo shows how to choose an anchor weight for the length of your boat
A rubber coated anchor should be used with an anchor line of appropriate thickness and length depending on the weight of the anchor and the depth of the water
