The Ritchie Explorer S-53 Compass is a surface mount compass from Richie Navigation featuring a 2¾”-inch easy-to-read direct-reading dial and an internal green night light. It features built-in compensators for easy adjustment of drift and a scientifically matched sapphire hardened steel rotating dial.

• 100% Repairable – All Ritchie compasses are 100% repairable and are backed by Ritchie’s exclusive 5-year warranty.
• Directivity Magnets – Ritchie uses special high Gauss magnets that are field balanced and matched to each compass model, dial style and size. They are mounted in pairs on the underside of the dial to seek and lock onto magnetic north. This provides excellent accuracy and smooth, fast response.
