ADECO ADEGRIP two-component adhesive PVC and Hypalon is a high-quality adhesive specially designed for bonding most inflatable boats. This marine adhesive is ideal for attaching Snap Davits or handles, D-ring pads, spacer pads or other accessories to PVC or Hypalon inflatable boats. Before gluing the products to the inflatable boat air tube, the products to be glued and the boat air tubes should be cleaned and roughened with a cleaning agent. The surface of the inflatable boat should also be cleaned with a cleaning agent (e.g. ADECO CLEANER 264). Then add about 6-8% activator to the adhesive and mix until smooth. The shelf life of the finished mixture is up to 3 hours and it must be processed within this time.
How to glue PVC and Hypalon boats?
- First, apply the adhesive mixture to both surfaces and leave for 20 minutes.
- Reapply the adhesive mixture to the surfaces 20 minutes after the first layer of adhesive has been applied.
- After 15 minutes, reactivate the adhesive with hot air (up to 60°), e.g. using a hair dryer or infrared lamp.
- Press the two adhesive surfaces together and press the edges together firmly with a rolling, round object.
