]]> This is a Promarine River-type anchor, a type of mushroom anchor. These anchors generally have 3 butterflies instead of a mushroom cap. Although the tips are not sharp, they still dig into the soft river bottom. They will also grab onto some rocks. A good 5:1 reach anchor works best. In strong currents or strong winds, other anchors may work better, but then a two-anchor system can be used.

Two anchors are used (front and rear of the boat) to ensure better stabilization, so it is recommended to use two anchors. The diagram in the photo shows how to choose the anchor weight for the length of your boat

A rubber-coated anchor should be used with an anchor line that is the right thickness and length, depending on the anchor weight and water depth

The River-type anchor is coated with a special PVC material and is therefore particularly suitable for use in PVC and rubber boats.
